WFT-E1/E1A

WFT-E1/E1A Firmware Update Version 2.0.1

Firmware specification changes

Updating to version 2.0.1 firmware will enable the WFT-E1/E1A to be used in combination with the EOS 20D.

It will also settle the current problem in EOS-1D Mark II and EOS-1Ds Mark II as follows.

  • If you try to make a new file when [No] is selected with [Overwrite Same File] in the FTP server setting, the WFT-E1/E1A used to show [Err99] on its LCD and stop working. This problem has been settled in this updated firmware.

This firmware update applies to WFT-E1/E1A with firmware versions 1.0.0 installed. If your WFT-E1/E1A's firmware is already version 2.0.1, it is not necessary to perform this update.

Precaution:
Updating WFT-E1/E1A firmware requires a corresponding model of cameras.

Corresponding models (The latest version of the firmware is recommended.):
EOS 20D: Firmware Version 2.0.0 or later
EOS 20Da: Firmware Version 2.0.2 or later
EOS-1D MarkII: Firmware Version 1.1.0 or later
EOS-1Ds MarkII: Firmware Version 1.0.3 or later

Before downloading the firmware update, please be sure to read the entire contents of this page.
