Moreover, Remote Live View shooting lets you control the EOS 50D via a computer running bundled EOS Utility software — a nice touch for studio or still life photographers who require remote capability. Your creative vision is clear, and the EOS 50D keeps it that way with fast, accurate autofocus. Configured in a diamond-shaped array for superior vertical and horizontal coverage, nine cross-type autofocus (AF) points — eight with f/5.6 sensitivity and one in the center with f/2.8 sensitivity — provide highly precise focus even when shooting fast moving subjects. AF points can be assigned automatically using one of three different modes or manually — the ideal solution for situations where the subject is not centered in the viewfinder.   Additionally, in order to assure more consistent results throughout a wide range of shooting environments, the EOS 50D automatically corrects for shifts in the focus point caused by different light sources.
