The spacious 3.0-inch LCD of the EOS-1Ds Mark III is simply a joy to use. A crisply backlit 230,000-pixel screen and wide 140° viewing angle (horizontal and vertical) makes it easy to view images and access menus whether in bright sunshine or in the dark, and compose shots when using Live View function. Choose from seven brightness levels using the displayed gray scale to achieve the proper setting depending on the ambient light. Gamma has been added and the color range expanded to deliver performance that closely resembles a computer monitor. This makes it ideal for important color and exposure checks. Power consumption is minimal, too, reducing drain on the battery and thereby allowing for extended use.
