Photos sometimes come out lacking sharpness despite having focused precisely on the subject. The most typical reason for this is blurring. If blurring occurs, the entire photo will look fuzzy because the camera canft steady the shot despite being in focus.
Causes of blur
Unsharp key word : "Movement"
If the camera or subject moves while the shutter is open (the length of time the shutter is open is called the shutter speed), the image captured in the photo will look streaked or smudged. This effect is called blurring. Blurring is the reason why a photo looks unsharp even though the focus was set properly. It is obvious the top photo is no good because of the amount of camera shake. More often, though, blurring is subtler, appearing as if the focus was just slightly off. Be careful not to overlook this error when checking your photos. The most effective way to limit blurring are to firmly hold and stabilize the camera (prevents camera shake) or to increase the shutter speed (prevents both camera shake and subject blur). Mounting the camera on a tripod or using a higher ISO speed setting to get a faster shutter speed are also ways to prevent blurring.
